Past Events

In the past year we’ve run a research open mic night and an even called “Birds of a Feather Write Together”. The idea behind the research open mic night is to create an informal setting where people can present their research or questions about their research to a supportive and interdisciplinary audience for feedback and advice. The birds of a feather event is a communal writing event where a group of PhD researchers gather in one room and support each other in their writing goals for the day, creating a productive atmosphere.

Suggestions? Feedback? Questions?

  • Having discussions and research-based activities across all schools, we can learn from each other.

  • Organise an evening (or more) of presentations in a relaxed environment.

  • Establish a quiet space for a monthly writing session to help students find their rhythm.
